Newport 2

Since I had a great time in Newport, I would like to tell about it.
This harbor city is located in southwest of Rhode Island, US.
It is famous for resort house area in US and Newport Mansions built in 19 century stand by the beautiful beach.
楽しかったNewport もう少しご紹介しますね！
Newport はアメリカ合衆国ロードアイランド州南東部にある港湾都市です。
港湾のほか保養地・別荘地としても名高く、１９世紀末以降に建てられた豪邸が街の南の風光明媚な海岸に並びます。(from Wikipedia)

There are JFK's cottage and many rich American's mansions, which are breathtaking!
この豪邸達がすごくって、JFKの元別荘やら、アメリカの富豪達の大きなお屋敷もたくさんあります。

It is great because most of people have renovated the houses built in 1730 and show the names of former inhabitant and establish date. The house I visited were so wonderful as they left the original 1730's floor wood and pillar and doing up beautifully. It is nicely brought back from old good days and never looked old but modern beauty had remained.
また素敵なのが、1７30年ぐらいからのお家をみんなリノベーションし住んでいます。新しいオーナーになっても、先住民の方の名前やいつ建てたかを記しています、今回お泊まりさせて頂いたご夫婦の別荘はお部屋の中の柱や床を１７４０年当時のものをそのまま生かし、素敵な優しいお部屋を作られていました。古き良き物を素敵によみがえらせる。ちっとも古くさくもなく、モダンでとても素敵でした。

As this region is called "New England", the town remains British immigrant culture and style.
また、並ぶ家々もNew Englandと呼ばれる地域だけあり、移民してきたイギリス人達の文化や様式がそのまま残る町並みです。

アメリカだけど、イギリスの雰囲気！

I first tried sailing this time. I took the boat which got the American Cup victory! This one hour and half amazed me a lot! I was at the tiller!
そして、初のセーリング！
アメリカンカップで優勝したボートでクルージングしました〜
大きなセーリングボート，クルーは４人で、風に乗って結構早いんです！
1時間半ぐらいの楽しい時間でした〜

 ちょっと舵を取らせてもらっちゃいました！

They are wonderful hudband and wife, Michael-san and Chizuru-san!
They took care of us very well!
今回お世話になった彼の友人ご夫婦　マイケルさんとちづるさん　とっても素敵なご夫婦です♡

Of course I had a stake after sailing here!
As I mistakenly ordered 450g stake instead of 150g ,,,
Sorry I left as it was too big for me,,,
そんなセーリングの後は、アメリカですもの、やっぱりステーキ！
私ったら、１５０gと聞き間違えて頼んでしまい、、、４５０gの巨デカのステーキ来ちゃいました。。。もちろんほとんど食べれず。。ごめんよステーキ。。
 

 そして帰りは、自転車タクシーでご帰宅♡　楽しい〜♪
We rode back by bike taxi. It was so fun!

I hardly see Japanese tourist in Newport but I recommend you visit here as you can travel by train from New York City. All is so clean and sophisticated there. You can also read book and relax on the beach. For me, I played iPhoned all the time. LOL
It is worth visiting there!

NewPort 日本人の観光客の方はほとんどおらずでした、
ニューヨークから電車でもいけますので、ニューヨークに前後泊まって
訪れるのオススメです！みんな洗練されていて、心地の良い場所でした！
ビーチもあるので、のんびり本を読んだりも出来ます、
（私はもっぱらiPhoneで遊んでましたが）
是非一度訪れてみて下さい！

Fantastic Dinner

The other day I went to my boyfrined's boss home party.
It was an international party and I was dissapointed at
my poor English there,,,
However all of dishes were amazing!

ちょっと前の事ですが、
シンガポールにて、彼の上司の方のご自宅のホームパーティに御呼ばれしました。
私の英語力の無さにまたまたガックシな感じで凹み気味でしたが、
そのときのお料理が最高に素晴らしかったのでご紹介です

The table set was great and it was an exclusive private
menu!
このテーブルセッティング素敵ですよね、
プライベートレストランとメニューに書いてありました〜

There were 3 chef and one serve man who were wearing
bow time.
It was so perfect!!

シェフが３名とサーブの男性1名。
サーブの男性は蝶ネクタイという徹底様、

I forgot to take a photo of main dish, as I ate the
main so quickly,,,
すみません、メインディッシュ美味しくて、速攻で食べてしまい、
写真撮るの忘れちゃった！

This restaurant offers only delivery food but it was
wonderful!
I hope to have such a great party soon!
でもこちらのデリバリーレストラン，
デリバリー専門だそうです。作りたてで、しかも美味しい！
こんな素敵なホームパーティ私も開催したいわ〜〜

The owner of this house are also fantastic and their
house are so luxury and beautiful!
もちろんとってもラグジュアリーで素敵なご自宅で、
とても素敵なご夫婦でした。

Newport 1

I am in Newport, New England. This is the summer resort in America.
It took 7 hours to get by train due the storm and electricity problem. The train did not find power cut influenced by typhoon before departure.
They should have considered the alarm by weather news. The passengers including my boyfriend were so mad at this situation.
For me, as we could use internet, I was playing with iPhone! Smile.
New EnglandのNewportに来ています！
アメリカの避暑地です
NYから電車で3時間、
昨日の嵐で線路と電気の不具合のためなんと7時間かかりました！
走る前に台風の影響での停電に気づかず出発。。。
朝からニュースになっていたのに。。乗客は怒りまくってました。
もちろんウチの彼も。でもインターネットが使えたので私はずーーーっと
iPhoneで遊んでました。笑


It was like this in the train here. I took quiet car by accident and  a train guy was yelling us saying "Don't make any noise and not allowed to speak here!"
アメリカの急行電車はこんな感じ。クアイエット車両に乗ってしまったようで、
車掌さんが来て、ものすごいでかい声で、一切音を立てるな！おしゃべり禁止だ！
と怒鳴って行きました。。。

On our arrival, we were off to New Port by car then we were heading to the ocean.
到着後は車でニューポートへ。

 だんだん海の方へ〜

By the time we arrived, it was late afternoon but
the evening sun was so beautiful!
夕日が綺麗でした～　
着いた頃にはすっかり夕方。

Summer holiday

今はNYです！
明日は彼の友人宅があるNewportに行きます～
NYから電車で3時間！

行った事がないところですからとても楽しみです！

NYで泊まったホテルはThe SETAI
初めてでしたが、とっても素敵でした！朝ごはんとっても美味しかったです！
